Song of the Week Week 20 2026 - UK Garage Week - 5 Picks

Tina Moore, Gabrielle, Artful Dodger, MJ Cole & K-C and JoJo

This week I'm taking it back to my roots - UK Garage. I was lucky enough to catch the whole era from the very late 90s and early 2000s and I'm so glad I did. There was nothing quite like it - the basslines, the shuffled rhythms, the vocal tracks, the energy. It was a movement.

There are so many classics it was impossible to just pick one, so I came out swinging this week with 5 picks. We're having some fun this week and I'm throwing in some British memes between the picks because why not.

Never Gonna Let You Go - Tina Moore

This is an absolute UK Garage classic. Tina Moore's voice over that shuffled beat is everything - this one brings back so many memories. A timeless piece of the genre.

Sunshine (Wookie Main Mix) - Gabrielle

Gabrielle's Sunshine with the Wookie Main Mix is peak UK Garage. Wookie was one of the best producers in the scene and this remix just elevated an already great song to another level.

Movin' Too Fast - Artful Dodger

Artful Dodger were pioneers of the UK Garage scene and Movin' Too Fast is a certified anthem. Craig David's vocal on this is class and the production is just right. This track put UK Garage on the map for so many people.

Crazy Love - MJ Cole

MJ Cole was a cornerstone of the UK Garage sound and Crazy Love is one of his finest moments. The production on this is clean, the vocal fits perfectly, and it just hits different. A real classic from the era.

Tell Me It's Real (Club Asylum Vocal Radio Edit) - K-C & JoJo

Ending the list with this one - Tell Me It's Real is a big UK Garage vocal track and this Club Asylum remix is the one. The energy, the vocals, the beat - it's got everything. A proper rave anthem from the golden era.
