Again I'm going with the same theme as my Song of the Week here, which is based around Larry June.

Now if you have seen my Song of the Week I touch on how Larry June has stayed independent and took over the game and how he has never needed the help of labels to push him.

Here he is explaining this and what makes Larry June's music so special is everything he touches does well, from big numbers on YouTube and more, but most of the time the rappers you see signed to labels, once the numbers start going down, labels drop them like a hot potato. So I'm a big advocate for being an independent artist in the rap game and just grinding like Larry June has, like Nipsey Hussle did, like Young Dolph did.

What amazes me too is Larry June still managed to get on Hot 97 and doesn't have big PR teams like labels do, and album of the year with no label push, this is just some motivation for any young cats to show you that with enough talent and hard work you can possibly make it without a label and keep all your royalties and who you want to be.
