It's amazing to see just how far Amapiano has come over the last 4 years. From a sound that started from the barrios of South Africa and is now in all corners of the Earth with its infectious sound and instantly recognisable log drums.

This is a short documentary into the rise of Amapiano from South Africa to the world.

I couldn't really mention Amapiano and not Afro House that's come from underground around a decade ago to breaking on an international level and becoming a dominant force in the electronic dance music scene.

This has been growing massively now for over a decade with producers and DJs such as Black Coffee, DJ Shimza and others pushing the genre to never before seen heights and it's only the start.

Keep your eye on Amapiano, it's the most infectious music I've heard and has too much funk, and this will 100% be in Ibiza in the coming years, just like Afro House has now broken into the Ibiza scene with Black Coffee's strong residency at Hï Ibiza club.

It's good watching how music ebbs and flows in different times and ways the market moves, and also to see the Afro sounds taking the world by storm.
