Mix of the Week Week 31 2026 - 5 Picks - Tomorrowland 2026 Special

B Jones, Martin Garrix, Steve Aoki, Afrojack b2b R3hab, Lost Frequencies

Ok guys and gals, it's been an eventful 1-2 weeks with one of the biggest DJ events to go down, Tomorrowland 2026, so a lot of the sections this week will be based on this, with it being one of the largest, if not the single largest, DJ events to go down each year.

Tomorrowland is the best festival around, if you don't get the chance to catch the original in Europe (Belgium), they now have one in Brazil and Thailand for you nomads or locals around them countries. Also check out their other events they put on or sponsor around the world.

B Jones WE1 | Tomorrowland 2026 - B Jones

Now B Jones really stole the show, I don't care what DJ was before and after, she rocked Tomorrowland 2026 with her strength and courage. Now B Jones has been in the Top 100 pretty much every year since the millennium, which is a feat in itself, but no more than 6 months ago she was diagnosed with cancer.

Now I'm not sure if any close family members or yourself have gone through cancer, or extended family or friends, but you can imagine, if you've been through it or seen it, how this can ruin your life out of nowhere, and yes the cancer is bad, very bad, but also the chemo recovery is normally worse, nothing about cancer is good.

Now B Jones went from finding out she had cancer only 6 months back to going through hell literally with it, and she never gave up hope and kept her DJ set that Tomorrowland had for her, as she's been rocking Tomorrowland for years.

Now here's the thing, I can only imagine the strength it took, not only to fly from France to Belgium while still not recovered much, and the energy it takes when recovering like she is, but she took flight, and then, against all odds, as not many could or would do this, she got on that stage and delivered a jaw dropping DJ set and showed the world what courage is and a never back down attitude, and to always keep going no matter your circumstances, so this will be an iconic DJ set for anyone to watch and will remain top of my DJ sets probably ever, for not only what she delivered but under the circumstances and all the internal emotions that comes with going through what she is going through, so this sits firmly at the top of the mix of the week.

We all know a woman or man like B Jones, and strength is amazing to see, but B Jones also took it to an international stage, live with 400,000 people in the crowd and 233 million viewers watching it live, and that's not even the people who will replay the live event. So not only that, the pressure alone could make some just go off stage, maybe breakdown, but she showed the world what strength, courage and hope looks like, and those 3 things are all the 11th wonder of the world if you ask me.

If you want to see more on the B Jones return after cancer, check out this article, B Jones thrills Tomorrowland with her return to the Mainstage after overcoming cancer, and her Instagram shows what it takes to overcome the worst and return to the forefront of a festival's world stage.

She also debuted her latest single called Resistiré, feat. her twin sister, Elena Hu. It's a deeply personal song about enduring hardship, recorded with her sister by her side through it all, and it captures a message of recovery, love and gratitude for never giving up.

MARTIN GARRIX LIVE @ TOMORROWLAND 2026 (W2) - Martin Garrix

Now the truth is I didn't get to watch the whole of Tomorrowland, but I did catch B Jones and then this Martin Garrix, who closed the show amazingly and put on a great DJ set which you can rewatch here.

Steve Aoki WE2 | Tomorrowland 2026 - Steve Aoki

Steve Aoki's set was great, I managed to catch this too, and luckily behind a TV so no pie in my face. Apart from him being one of the top DJs, I must admit the precision he has for throwing cakes, if that was an Olympic sport he would win gold each year, he never seems to miss if you look close haha.

Here is a quick compilation of Steve Aoki cakeface, and check out his aiming skills, he's not only a great DJ/producer but a sharpshooter cake thrower.

Afrojack b2b R3hab WE2 | Tomorrowland 2026 - Afrojack b2b R3hab

I also caught Afrojack b2b R3hab, which was a banger of a set too.

Lost Frequencies | Tomorrowland Winter 2026 - Lost Frequencies

I also managed to catch the Lost Frequencies set too, from the Freedom stage. Now this one here isn't the exact 2026 DJ set, it's from Tomorrowland Winter 2026, so you can see the great sets that Lost Frequencies puts on.
